Centre for Professional Development and Internationalisation in Schools (FBA)
Centre for Professional Development and Internationalisation in Schools, Uppsala University, has a government mandate to enhance internationalisation in Swedish schools. This mandate is carried out through activities for educational professionals; courses, seminars, conferences and publications. The FBA also works with research and development projects and expert commissions in the field.
The remit also includes continuing professional education for mother-tongue language teachers. In recent years the focus has increasingly been directed towards immigrants and unaccompanied refugee minors and their schooling.
Seminar on Educational Success and Inclusion
Sweden held a project seminar on 8 March 2016 on promoting educational success and preventing early school leaving for newly arrived students in the Swedish schools. Researchers and practitioners had the opportunity to learn and to discuss good practices in this field.
